I enter my user name and password, hit enter and get a dialogue box with the following message: "Internet explorer cannot open the internet site http://mail.google.com/mail/. Operation aborted" Does anyone please have a way out of this one? thanks a mill...

try clearing your temporary files and cookies
then reboot your machine, see if that helps
