You will need to upgrade to Mail Plus before you are allowed to auto-forward to another email. That is a payable email account.
At the mean time you got no choice but to manual forward to your gmail.
How to get my yahoo farwarded to my gmail?
I have my Yahoo emails forwarded to another address and i'm sure my Yahoo account is just the bog-standard no-frills one.
This is how I set up my email forwarding.
1) Login to your Yahoo Mail
2) In top right corner click the 'Options' tab
3) Now click on 'POP Access %26amp; Forwarding'
4) Finally select the 'Forwarding' option and type email addy of where mail should be forwarded to
5) Click 'save' in bottom left corner
