My last name (Morishita) get's filtered from GMAIL because it has a 'bad word' in it.?

I am not allowed a simple/professional Gmail address because my Japanese last name has an American profanity in it ... is there a way around this? I want my Gmail address (firstname)Morishita@gmail.com just like many other Americans get to have. I had set one up that was my last name backwards but was too hard to explain to people. I should not have to do this. What can I do?

use (firstname)M@gmail.com
Reply:Wow that really sucks and I feel your pain, they shouldn't block profanity from there email screen names anyways because we have freedom of speech.

But whatever.

I would contact the Gmail staff, because that's complete bull.

And don't change you last name ):

It's special and unique.
Reply:Simple put an underscore between the s_h. I had to do this on a Kijiji ad where I was trying to sell a nail gun and "gun" was on their **** list so I couldn't post my ad unless I changed the word gun to g_u_n.

Try it you have nothing to lose!
Reply:dont use gmail. use msn = @hotmail, @live. yahoo = @rocketmail, @ yahoo, @ymail.

Reply:Contact Gmail and ask them. Why do you even think you can get an answer here and not from Gmail people?
Reply:If you email their support team, they may be able to appeal for you.
Reply:Yahoo!? Msn? Hotmail? There are many others.
Reply:I would definitely contact Google about this. That is ridiculous %26amp; obsurd. I hope that you get it figured out. It isn't your fault.
Reply:i don't know. put a "_" between s and h.
Reply:contact the server directly
Reply:I had the same promblem with my sister-in-law's name - Supaporn (Thai first name). I just created the account in another name because I wasn't that bothered, but I definately agree, you should be permitted it if you are so fortunate to have profanity in your name!

I looked on the gmail website for you, and there isn't an answer to this yet, so I think you aught follow their instructions to get help directly, copied and pasted below. They will be able to bypass it for you, you may need to kick up a fuss and get a telephone number if they still won't help (if they won't give you one, go for directories and get through to them!), but they are able to do it:
