i have an email address with gmail that i opened years ago and never use any more. i checked in to see if it still existed and i had hundreds of very dodgy spam emails, didnt open any of them, didnt need to the subject headings were very telling! thought the account would have automatically closed having not visiting it for well over 6mths. so is there any way of getting rid of it??? help

you can request it closed, but why bother with it if you do not need it /
