Do you get a lot of spam on gmail??

i havent given my email to any unknown websites, so i dont know where the spam is coming from. do you get a lot of it when you go on gmail?

Not to many at all and gmail is really good about having things go right to your spam box. If something shows up in your inbox and it is spam, you can mark it as spam and it will be taken directly to that box.
Reply:I just joined the other day. Unlike Yahoo on GMail you recieve absolutely no pop-up or any advertising. I also like the format better. I have already invited everyone in my Yahoo contacts to join GMail. It is a lot better than Yahoo. I am keeping my email however on Yahoo so I can keep on answering questions from people.

Reply:i dont. if u have a problem with viruses and spam, download avg 7.5 viruse scan and spy bot search and destroy. they are awsome viruse and spam blockers, and there free!!! just google grisoft and search for avg 7.5 on the grisoft page. then google spybot and also download that.

I do get a lot of spam on G-Mail. G-Mail is far superior than any other free mail service out there and you will find spam problems with all. It comes down to what company provides the best filter mechanism, and Google is #1 at the present time. Albeit, the market was designed this way and competition will engineer an even better solution.
Reply:I've gotten about 3 pieces of spam in my Inbox in the entire two years or so I've used Gmail. That's quality compared to Yahoo! and Hotmail, in my experience.
