I'm really confused about Gmail. Can anybody tell me how you get it?

Gmail (google mail) can be obtained by having someone invite you. The people who have it are limited to invites.

someone who has it already has to invite u. what they did was give it out to a certain amount of people (or be part of a test run when they were allowing people to sign up). then they stopped that, and gave everyone w/ gmail accounts 100 invites to give away, so it was a "word - of -mouth" kind of thing. u have to know someone who will give u an invite. most people have a lot of invitations left, so try asking friends or even ask around here if someone will invite u, and u can get ur own account! :)

Or ask for an invite from someone that uses it.

Reply:I think it's still in trial stage at the moment, so they don't want to roll it out to everyone. Therefore, you can only get an account if you live in specific country or get an invite from someone already with an account. If you have a friend with a gmail account, just ask them to send an invitation to you, then you can have one too.

Reply:Just to comment on the "limited number of invites", that's no longer true. The number of invites everyone has is like 50. After a couple days to a week, that number replenishes itself. There's no real limit.





So yeah, it would be best for you to ask someone else who uses it for an invite, or like the previous posts says, request one to your cell phone directly from Gmail.
