go to www.inbox.com and then go to download toalbar and then you can set up gmail to work with it. it pops up when you have a new email and it is really cool
Is there a setting in gmail that will alert me when I get a new message- with a window pop up or something?
download and install and Log on to gtalk, enable notifications in settings.... as soon as you get an email, it will pop a box on the below right side corner.
